CALDWELL, N.J.- The Caldwell University women's tennis team came up short to Holy Family University 7-1 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference play.
The Cougars fall to 3-7 overall and 1-4 in the CACC, while the Tigers improve to 6-4 and 2-4 in conference play.
Caldwell got their lone win in doubles play as freshman
Janis Jimenez (Shrub Oak, N.Y.) and junior
Shannon Donaldson (Bonita Springs, Fla.) took #2 doubles 8-4.
In singles play, junior
Rebecca Ryan (Berkeley Heights, N.J.) battled at #1 singles but fell 6-3, 6-4. Jimenez also fell in her singles match at the #3 spot 6-1, 6-4. The match at #4 singles was not completed as rain moved into the season near the end of the match.
The Cougars travel to Kutztown University on Tuesday, October 11 for a non-conference match at 3 pm.
