BROOKVILLE, N.Y.- The Caldwell University women's soccer team fell 4-0 to LIU Post in their final non-conference match of the season.
The Cougars fall to 6-6-1 overall, while the Pioneers improve to 8-2-1 on the season.
LIU Post got on the board midway in the opening half with a pair of goals at the 22nd minute and 28th minute. The Pioneers tacked on a goal just before the half for 3-0 halftime lead.
In the second half, the Pioneers chipped in an early goal. LIU Post held the advantage in shots 18-7 and 9-2 in shots on goal.
Sophomore
Mary Kanzler (East Northport, N.Y.) played the first half, recording one saves. Freshman
Daniela Lucca (Pompton Lakes, N.J.) came on in relief, playing the second half and posted three saves.
The Cougars are back on action as they host Dominican College for a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match on Wednesday, October 12 at 3:30 pm.
