LAKEWOOD, N.J.- Sophomore
Carlyn Salus (Pompton Lakes, N.J.) netted her team-leaded fifth goal of the season as the Caldwell University women's soccer team fell to Georgian Court University in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference play.
The Cougars fall to 5-4-1 overall and 4-2-0 in the CACC, while the Lions improve to 7-2-0 and 6-0-0 in conference play.
Caldwell struck early as Salus booted in a rebound to put the Cougars in the lead in the 11th minute.
The Lions answered late in the first half in the 30th minute to tie the game going into halftime.
Both teams had scoring opportunities in the second half with Georgian Court breaking through in the 77th minute with the go-ahead tally. The Cougars attempted a pair of shots in the final minutes but came up short of the tying goal.

Kylie Whalen (Hazlet, N.J.) finished with seven saves in the loss.
Caldwell hosts Concordia College on Tuesday, October 4 in a CACC match at 4 pm.
