CALDWELL, N.J.- Sophomore
Taryn Auyong (Honolulu, HI) recorded 10 kills to lead the Caldwell University Volleyball team to its sixth consecutive victory as the Cougars defeated the Concordia College Clippers 3-0 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match.
The Cougars improve to 11-4 overall and 4-1 in CACC play, while the Clippers fall to 2-3 and 2-3 in conference action.
Caldwell won the match in three as they won two close sets 25-19 and 25-21 and took the third set 25-12.
Sophomore
Katrina Janssen (Seville Australia) chipped in nine kills and five total blocks while sophomore
Gabrielle Bennett (San Antonio, TX) totaled 14 assists and five digs. Senior
Kelsey Blankerts (Sylvania, OH) tallied three kills, two services aces and five blocks, while sophomore
Jessica Mitchell (Plainfield, IL) finished with a match-high five aces along with nine digs.
The Cougars square off against the current CACC North Division leader on Thursday, October 1 as they travel to Bloomfield College for a 7 pm match.
