CALDWELL, N.J.- Senior
Kelly Folk (Jackson, NJ) netted the lone goal of the game in the first overtime to lift the Caldwell University women's soccer team to 1-0 victory over the Philadelphia University Rams in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference action.
The Cougars improve to 3-5-1 overall and remain unbeaten in CACC play with a 3-0-1 mark. The Rams drop to 3-5-0 and 2-3-0 in conference play.
The teams played an even first half as the Rams held a slight advantage in shots 4-2. Caldwell dominated play in the second half as they held the Rams to only two shots while they took 11 in the second half.
The score remained deadlocked at 0-0 and the teams headed to overtime. In the extra period, the Cougars got a corner and Folk was able to slip it past the goal keeper for the game-winner.
With the victory, the Cougars move into fourth place in the CACC with 10 points.

Mary Kanzler (East Northport, N.Y.) recorded her third shutout of the season as she totaled three saves in the win.
The Cougars start two games road trip as they head to Concordia College for a CACC clash on Tuesday, September 29 at 3 pm.
