Michael Hartmann (Medford, N.J.) recorded four critical saves to help the Caldwell University men's soccer team battle to a scoreless draw against the Philadelphia University Rams in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match-up.
The move to 0-7-1 and 0-3-1 in CACC play, while the Rams stand at 3-3-3 and 1-2-1 in conference play.
The Rams led the match in overall shots 12-11 but the Cougars led in shots on goal 8-4. The game headed to overtime and play was slow in the extra frame as Caldwell attempted the lone shot with less than a minute to play.
The flurry of play picked up late in the second overtime period as the Cougars had four shots, two one goal, one hit the post and another was blocked. Philadelphia's lone shot in either overtime came with less than a minute to play but went wide as the game ended in a 0-0 tie.
The Cougars head to Concordia College Wednesday, September 30 for a CACC clash at 3 pm.
