NEWARK, Del.- Sophomore
Katrina Janssen (Seville, Australia) was named to the All-Tournament Team as the Caldwell University women's volleyball team wrapped up play at the Wilmington Tournament with a split. The Cougars fell to Franklin Pierce University 3-2 but ended the tournament with a 3-1 victory over American International College to improve to 5-3 on the season.

The Ravens improve to 4-3 overall, while the Yellow Jackets fall to 4-3 in 2015.

In their opening match loss to Franklin Pierce, the Ravens took the first set 26-24 and the Cougars evened the match with a 26-24 win in set two. Franklin Pierce took set three 25-15 but Caldwell forced a deciding set with a 25-22 win in the fourth set. The Ravens took the victory with a 15-7 win the deciding set.

All-Tournament Team selection
Katrina Janssen (Seville, Australia) led the way in the opening match with 19 kills and three blocks. Sophomore
Taryn Auyong (Honolulu, HI) chipped in 18 kills and 14 digs, while sophomore
Jessica Mitchell (Plainfield, IL) recorded 24 digs and four service aces. Sophomore
Gabrielle Bennett (San Antonio, TX) totaled 31 assists and 23 digs, while
Rachael DiLeonardo (Milton, GA) added 17 digs and six kills. Freshman
Jordan Hoffman (Colorado Springs, CO) finished with 19 assists and eight digs.

Caldwell wrapped up their tournament on a positive note as they downed American International 3-1. The Cougars fell in the first set 25-23, but rallied back to take the next three 27-25, 26-24, 25-23. Janssen again led the Cougars with 14 kills and seven blocks, while Auyong added 12 kills and 10 digs. DiLeonardo totaled 11 kills and nine digs, while Mitchell led the team with 32 digs. Bennett posted 26 assists, while Hoffman chipped in 15 assists.
Kelsey Blankerts (Sylvania, OH) finished with six blocks in the match.

The Cougars travel to Molloy College on Tuesday, September 15 for a non-conference match at 6 pm.
