CALDWELL, N.J.- Freshman
Amanda Wroblewski (North Babylon, NY) netted her first collegiate goal as women's soccer fell to the American International College Yellow Jackets 2-1 in non-conference action.
The Cougars fall to 0-4-0 overall, while the Yellow Jackets improve to 1-2-0 on the season.
American International broke a scoreless game in the 30th minute as they took a 1-0 lead. Caldwell answered four minutes later as Wroblewski netted the equalizer off a free kick just outside the box.
The second half was a stalemate as both teams battled as the score remained tied at 1-1. The Yellow Jackets broke the tie with the six and half minutes remained as they scored the go-ahead goal on a penalty kick. The Cougars were unable to net another goal in the final minutes.

Mary Kanzler (East Northport, N.Y.) recorded eight saves in 90 minutes of play.
The Cougars open up CACC play as they travel to Nyack College on Tuesday, September 15 for a 4 pm game against the Warriors.
