GARDEN CITY, N.Y. – The Caldwell University baseball team dropped a non-conference game to Adelphi University, 12-0 Wednesday afternoon at Bonomo Field. The Cougars fall to 11-26, while the Panthers improve to 17-17.
Adelphi scored 11 runs over the first five innings, pounding out 17 hits. Six Panthers pitchers held Caldwell scoreless on just six hits. Freshman
Noah Clark (Toms River, NJ/Toms River East) led the Cougars with two hits, while Alex Zykoff went 3-for-3 with five runs batted in for Adelphi.
Caldwell wraps up the 2015 season with a non-conference game against Bloomfield College on Thursday, Apr. 30. The first pitch is set for 3:00 p.m. at Bears Stadium in Newark, N.J.
