ST. LEO, Fla. – The Caldwell University softball team played one game on Sunday, falling to host St. Leo University at University Stadium. The Cougars fall to 2-3 on the season, while the Lions improve to 23-7.
St. Leo scored four runs in the first inning, two runs in the second and two more in the fourth. Ashley Ehlers struck out five and walked one as the Lions shut out Caldwell for the second time in three days. Tiffany Thompson went 3-for-3 with two runs to lead St. Leo.
The Cougars play a doubleheader at the National Training Center in Clermont, Fla., on Monday, Mar. 16, facing Augustana at 1:00 p.m. and the University of Sioux Falls at 3:00 p.m.
