CALDWELL, N.J.- Sophomore
Taryn Auyong (Honolulu, HI) notched a season-high 20 kills as the Caldwell University volleyball team survived a five-set thriller in a 3-2 win against Bloomfield College in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference play.
The Cougars improve to 20-10 and 12-15 in the CACC, while the Bears fall to 19-5 and 12-4 in conference play.
Bloomfield took the opening set 25-19 but Caldwell evened the match with a 25-20 win in set two. The Bears won set three 29-27 but the Cougars took the match with 25-21 and 15-12 wins to close out the match.
Auyong added 13 digs, while sophomore
Katrina Janssen (Seville, Australia) added 15 kills, six digs and four blocks. Senior
Rachael DiLeonardo (Milton, GA) added 16 kills and 20 digs, while sophomore
Jessica Mitchell (Plainfield, IL) totaled a game-high 28 digs. Sophomore
Gabrielle Bennett (San Antonio, TX) added 32 assists and 15 digs, while freshman
Jordan Hoffman (Colorado Springs, CO) finished with 20 assists and 12 digs.
Caldwell travels to Felician College on Tuesday, November 10 at 7 pm.
