Women’s Soccer Ends Regular Season with Loss to Felician; Clinch #5 Seed in CACC Tournament

LYNDHURST, N.J.- The Caldwell University women's soccer team fell in their regular season finale 1-0 to Felician College Golden Falcons in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference game.

The Cougars clinched the #5 seed in the upcoming CACC Tournament and will travel to #4 Wilmington University on Tuesday.

The Cougars fall to 9-8-1 overall and 8-3-1 in the CACC, while the Golden Falcon improve to 7-9-0 and 7-5-0 in conference play.   

The first half featured a scoreless tie with Caldwell netting two of three shots in the game.

Felician struck early in the second half as they netted the lone goal of the contest in the 49th minute. The Cougars generated three second half shots including one that was saved with 16 seconds left as they fell short of netting the equalizer.

In net, freshman goalie Mary Kanzler (East Northport, NY) recorded three saves.  

The Cougars are the #5 seed in the CACC Tournament and will travel to #5 seed Wilmington University on Tuesday, November 4 at 2 pm.
