CALDWELL, N.J.- The Caldwell University women's soccer team lost their first conference game of the season as they fell 1-0 to the Wilmington University Wildcats in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference action.
 
The Cougars fall to 4-6-1 overall and 4-1-1 in CACC play while the Wildcats improve to 5-3-0 and 5-1-0 in conference play.
 
The teams battled to a scoreless first half as each attempted five shots. In the second half, the Wildcats held the advantage in shots 8-4 and netted the lone goal of the game in the 62nd minute. The Cougars attempted two shots in the final 28 minutes but couldn't come up with the equalizer.
 
In net, freshman Mary Kanzler (East Northport, N.Y.) six saves in the loss.  
 
The Cougars host Georgian Court University on Saturday, October 10 at 12 pm at Caldwell Field.
