ORANGEBURG, N.Y.- Senior
Rachael DiLeonardo (Milton, GA) led the way with 14 kills as the Caldwell University volleyball team locked up a postseason berth as they defeated the Dominican College Chargers 3-0 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match.
The Cougars improve to 17-10 overall and 9-5 in the CACC, while the Chargers fall to 4-22 and 4-10 in conference play.
Caldwell swept the match in three sets as they won 25-19, 25-20 and 25-20 to notch their 17th victory of the season.
DiLeonardo added 15 digs, while sophomore
Katrina Janssen (Seville, Australia) totaled 12 kills. Sophomore
Taryn Auyong (Honolulu, HI) chipped in eight kills and 11 digs, while sophomore
Jessica Mitchell (Plainfield, IL) led the Cougars with 21 digs. Sophomore
Gabrielle Bennett (San Antonio, TX) tallied 20 assists, two aces and six digs, while freshman
Jordan Hoffman (Colorado Springs, CO) finished with 11 assists and 12 digs.
Caldwell travel to Concordia College on Thursday, October 29 for a CACC match against the Clippers at 6 pm.
