CALDWELL, N.J.- The Caldwell University women's tennis team to ended their season with a 6-3 win against the University of Sciences in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match.
With the win the Cougars wrap up the season at 4-10 overall and 1-6 in the CACC, while the Devil drop to 3-8 and 0-6 in conference play.
The Cougars won four singles matches and a pair in doubles play to notch their first conference victory of the season. Junior
Tamara Klimek (Novi Sad, Serbia) took home the win at #1 singles 6-3, 6-1, while sophomore
Rebecca Ryan (Berkeley Heights, NJ) won at the #2 spot 6-1, 6-4. Senior
Emily Slater (Cliffwood Beach, NJ) won at #3 singles 6-2, 6-1, while Senior
Sara Riccardi (Jersey City, NJ) capped off the singles victories with a 5-7, 6-1, 1-0 (10-8) win at #4 singles.
In the doubles play, Klimek and Slater posted a win at the #1 spot 8-3, while Junior
Koumudi Thirunagaru (San Ramon, CA) and sophomore
Debra Pellegrino (Valley Stream, NY) closed out doubles play with an 8-2 win.
