CALDWELL, N.J. – The Caldwell University women's tennis team won its second dual in a row with a victory over Molloy College, 8-1 Tuesday afternoon at the Caldwell University Tennis Courts. The Cougars are now 3-4 on the season, while the Lions fall to 0-7.

All three doubles teams were victorious, led by the No. 1 doubles team of junior Emily Slater (Cliffwood Beach, NJ/Old Bridge) and freshman Rebecca Ryan (Berkeley Heights, NJ/Koinonia Acad.). Senior Gwynne Alden (Spring Lake Heights, NJ/Manasquan) and junior Sara Riccardi (Jersey City, NJ/St. Dominic Acad.) won their match at No. 2 doubles, while sophomore Koumudi Thirunagaru (San Ramon, CA/Homestead) and freshman Claudia Romano (Salerno, Italy/Boulder Creek) earned their first win of the season at No. 3 doubles. Slater, Alden, Riccardi, Thirunagaru and Romano all won their singles matches to clinch the team's third victory of the season.

Caldwell plays a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference dual at Georgian Court University on Friday, Oct. 3, beginning at 3:30 p.m. in Lakewood, N.J.
