CALDWELL, N.J. – Senior midfielder Ashlee Paknis (Little Egg Harbor, NJ/Pinelands Reg.) registered a goal and two assists to lead the Caldwell University women's soccer team to a 4-1 victory over Chestnut Hill College in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference game Sunday afternoon at Caldwell Field. The win gives the Cougars a 4-4-2 record on the season, including a 3-1-1 mark in league play. The Griffins drop to 1-8, 1-5 CACC.

Paknis opened the scoring in the 15th minute with a long shot from 40 yards out that went over goalkeeper Samantha Pauls and into the goal for a 1-0 Caldwell lead. Just 28 seconds later, Paknis set up senior forward Natalie Migoya (Lincoln Park, NJ/Morris Catholic), who scored from 16 yards out for her team-leading fourth goal of the season. Less than a minute before halftime, Paknis' corner kick was headed into the goal by senior defender Lauren Iuliucci (Franklinville, NJ/Delsea) for a 3-0 advantage.

Chestnut Hill scored a goal in the 61st minute, as Victoria Fedora finished a rebound off a shot from Morgan Fell to make the score 3-1 Caldwell. Freshman midfielder Nicole Gomez (Elmwood Park, NJ/Memorial) tallied her first career goal off an assist from Migoya in the 82nd minute.

Senior goalkeeper Robin Franchi (Sewell, NJ/Deptford) made six saves in goal for the Cougars. Pauls and Kayla Reno combined to make nine saves for the Griffins, who were out-shot, 22-8 for the game.
