LAFAYETTE HILL, Pa. – The Caldwell College men's soccer team was defeated by Chestnut Hill College, 2-0 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference game Saturday afternoon at Victory Field. The Cougars drop to 4-6 overall and 2-4 in the conference with the loss, while the Griffins improve to 5-3-2, 4-1-1 CACC.
After a scoreless first half, Hernan Angulo found the net in the 48th minute to put Chestnut Hill ahead, 1-0. Less than three minutes later, Robert Stocklin scored for the Griffins to take a 2-0 lead. Caldwell was unable to regain momentum, suffering its fourth loss in a row.

Michael Hartmann (Medford, NJ/Shawnee) tallied eight saves in goal for the Cougars. James Jackson also made eight saves for the Griffins, with seven coming in the first half. Chestnut Hill had a 20-13 edge in shots for the game.
Caldwell returns to action on Tuesday, Oct. 8, when the Cougars host CACC foe Bloomfield College. The game starts at 4:00 p.m. at Caldwell Field.
