CALDWELL, N.J. – The Caldwell College women's tennis team began its Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference schedule on Friday with a 9-0 loss to Chestnut Hill College at the Caldwell College Tennis Courts. The Cougars are now 0-2 overall, while the Griffins improve to 3-0, 2-0 CACC.

Chestnut Hill swept the doubles matches before earning straight-set victories at first, second and fifth singles, and taking third and sixth singles in pro sets. Sophomore Briana Gaspich (Brick, NJ/Brick Memorial) droped a close match at fourth singles, falling to Axe Owens in three sets, 3-6, 7-6, 7-6.

Next up for the Cougars is a CACC dual at Goldey-Beacom College on Friday, Sept. 14. The first matches start at 4:00 p.m. in Wilmington, Del.
