CALDWELL, N.J. – The Caldwell College women's tennis team narrowly lost to the University of the Sciences, 5-4 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference dual at the Caldwell College Tennis Courts Saturday afternoon. The Cougars fall to 2-8 overall and 0-7 in league play, while the Devils improve to 2-8, 2-7 CACC.

Caldwell won two of the three doubles matches, getting victories from sophomores Gwynne and Paige Alden (Spring Lake Heights, NJ/Manasquan) at No. 2 doubles and from senior Danielle Levasseur (Eastport, NY/Eastport South) and sophomore Alyssa Brillante (Pompton Lakes, NJ/Pompton Lakes) at No. 3 doubles. Paige Alden won her match at third singles, and sophomore Briana Gaspich (Brick, NJ/Brick Memorial) earned a point at fourth singles. The match at second singles went to three sets, with Sara Durham edging Gwynne Alden, 5-7, 6-4, 6-4.

The Cougars wrap up the regular season with a CACC dual at Post University on Sunday, Oct. 14, beginning at 1:00 p.m. in Waterbury, Conn.
