CALDWELL, N.J. - Three second-half goals allowed Post University to defeat the Caldwell College men's soccer team, 3-1 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match Saturday afternoon at Caldwell Field. The loss drops the Cougars' conference record to 0-2 and evens their overall record at 3-3. The Eagles, who are ranked fifth in the East Region, improve to 4-0-2 overall and 3-0 in the CACC.

Caldwell struck early, as sophomore forward Mosiah Whyte (Coram, NY/Newfield) got on the end of a long pass from midfielder Donald Kafer (Bordentown, NJ/Bordentown), beat his defender and scored two minutes into the first half for a 1-0 lead. Whyte, pictured, leads the team with eight goals in six games this season. The Cougars held the lead throughout the first half, but Post tied the game in the 52nd minute on a goal by Peter Cleary. Less than seven minutes later, Joe Dzurilla put Post on top with an unassisted goal for a 2-1 lead. The Eagles' Joe Baccielo tallied an insurance goal in the 75th minute, when he headed in a cross from Matt Luis.

Junior goalkeeper Brian Agostini (N. Caldwell, NJ/West Essex) tallied six saves in goal for the Cougars, who were out-shot 18-8 for the game.

The Cougars will host Concordia College on Tuesday, Sept. 20 in a game that was originally scheduled to be played at Concordia. The CACC contest begins at 4:00 p.m. at Caldwell Field.
