SPARKILL, N.Y. - For the second time this season, the Caldwell College women's tennis team earned a 7-2 victory over St. Thomas Aquinas College in a  non-conference dual Friday afternoon. The Cougars, who defeated the Spartans on Sept. 16, are now 3-4 on the season, while STAC falls to 2-10.

The Cougars won two out of the three matches at doubles, as freshmen Gwynne and Paige Alden (Spring Lake Heights, NJ/Manasquan) combined for the victory at No. 2 doubles, and freshmen Briana Gaspich (Brick, NJ/Brick Memorial) and Alyssa Brillante (Pompton Lakes, NJ/Pompton Lakes), pictured, won their match at No. 3 doubles. In singles, Gwynne Alden and Gaspich were victorious at second and fourth singles, respectively. Seniors Sara Wilkins (Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown), Amanda Berry (Swedesboro, NJ/Kingsway Reg.) and Olga Ndhlovu (Bergenfield, NJ/Bergenfield) helped the Cougars clinch the dual with wins at third, fifth and sixth singles, respectively.

Caldwell returns to Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference action with a dual at Holy Family University on Saturday, Oct. 8, beginning at 12:00 p.m. in Philadelphia, Pa.
