CALDWELL MEN'S SOCCER STUMBLES AT FELICIAN, 5-1

LYNDHURST, N.J. - The Caldwell College men's soccer team lost to Felician College, 5-1 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match Tuesday afternoon at the Lyndhurst Recreation Complex. The defeat is the Cougars' fourth in a row and drops their record to 6-8-2 overall and 3-6-1 in league play. The Golden Falcons are now 9-8, 6-5 CACC.

Felician broke a scoreless tie in the 37th minute on a goal by Azedine Maazouzi for a 1-0 lead. Just before halftime, Keleenna Onyeaka found the net off a corner kick to put the hosts on top 2-0. Midway through the second half, the Golden Falcons put the game away with three goals in an eight-minute span, capped by Maazouzi's second goal of the game in the 69th minute. Freshman forward Dylan Ross (Staten Island, NY/St. Peter's) put the Cougars on the scoreboard with his first collegiate goal off an assist from freshman defender Steve Petrosino (Toms River, NJ/Toms River South) in the 73rd minute.

Freshman goalkeeper Alex Cunha (Kearny, NJ/Kearny), pictured, tallied a career-best nine saves in goal for Caldwell, while Anthony Tsouhnikas recorded three saves for Felician.

Caldwell wraps up the regular season with a CACC game against Goldey-Beacom College on Thursday, Oct. 27. The Cougars need a win to qualify for next week's CACC Tournament. The kick-off is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. at Caldwell Field.
