SPARKILL, N.Y. - The Caldwell College women's tennis team fell to St. Thomas Aquinas College, 6-3 in a non-conference dual Friday afternoon. The defeat drops the Cougars to 1-5 on the season, while the Spartans improve to 4-3.

Junior Sara Wilkins (Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown), right, won her match at No. 2 singles over Danielle Bicknell, 8-5. Sophomore Elizabeth Odell (Allenwood, NJ/Wall) also was victorious, defeating Erin Maher 8-2 at No. 3 singles. In doubles, Odell combined with junior Amanda Berry (Swedesboro, NJ/Kingsway Regional) to beat Maher and Jayden Brignola at second doubles, 8-7 (8-6).

Next up for Caldwell is a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference dual at Philadelphia University on Wednesday, Sept. 22.
