USP TOPS COUGARS IN WOMEN'S TENNIS, 6-3

CALDWELL, N.J. - The Caldwell College women's tennis team fell to the University of the Sciences, 6-3 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference dual Saturday afternoon at the Caldwell College Tennis Courts. The loss evens the Cougars' record at 1-1 on the season, while the Devils are now 1-1.

After losing the three doubles matches, Caldwell picked up victories at the top three singles positions. Junior Sara Wilkins (Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown) beat Sara Durham, 7-5, 1-6, 11-9 at No. 1 singles for her first win as a Cougar. Junior Olga Ndhlovu (Bergenfield, NJ/Bergenfield), pictured, won in straight sets at No. 2 singles, while sophomore Elizabeth Odell (Allenwood, NJ/Wall) was victorious in a pro set at No. 3 singles. The Devils benefitted from walkovers at sixth singles and third doubles.

The Cougars take on East Stroudsburg on Monday, Sept. 13 in a non-conference dual at the Caldwell College Tennis Courts. The first matches begin at 3:30 p.m.
