EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. - The Caldwell College men's soccer team lost to East Stroudsburg University, 4-1 in a non-conference game Saturday afternoon at Eiler-Martin Stadium. The defeat is the Cougars' third in a row and drops them to 5-9 on the season, while the Warriors, ranked fourth in the latest Atlantic Region rankings, move to 10-4.

East Stroudsburg wasted little time in getting on the scoreboard, as Shastri Spencer scored an unassisted goal just one minute, 10 seconds into the game. Greg Schook made it 2-0 with an unassisted goal in the 43rd minute. Less than three minutes into the second half, Spencer set up a goal by Drew Repsher to put the Warriors on top 3-0. Danny Drago converted a penalty kick in the 71st minute for a commanding 4-0 lead. In the 84th minute, the Cougars broke up the shutout with a goal by senior defender Andy Loughnane (Harrison City, PA/Penn Trafford), right, off an assist by freshman defender Mauricio Zegarra (La Paz, Bolivia/St. Andrew). The goal was Loughnane's first of the season and third of his career.

Junior goalkeeper John Londono (West New York, NJ/Memorial) made six saves in 78 minutes of action, with freshman Brian Rusak (Lanoka Harbor, NJ/Lacey Twp.) playing the final 12 minutes. Troy Hernandez made five saves and did not allow a goal in 81 minutes for East Stroudsburg, as Steven Mack played the final nine minutes in goal.

The Cougars host Felician College in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference game on Thursday, Oct. 21. Game time is set for 3:00 p.m. at Caldwell Field.
