COUGARS STUMBLE AGAINST DOWLING IN WOMEN'S TENNIS

CALDWELL, N.J. - The Caldwell College women's tennis team was blanked by Dowling College, 9-0 Wednesday afternoon in a non-conference dual at the Caldwell College Tennis Courts. The results leaves the Cougars winless on the season at 0-5, while the Golden Lions improve to 5-0.

Dowling won all three doubles matches without losing a single game, then earned straight-set victories in all six singles matches. Sophomore Kirsty Leedham (Ellesmere Port, England/Cheshire Acad.) had the closest match of the day, falling to Jenn Tripp at No. 4 singles, 6-4, 6-4.

The Cougars return to the courts on Friday, Sept. 19, when they travel to face Adelphi University in another non-conference dual.
