COUGARS DROP CACC DUAL TO GOLDEY-BEACOM

CALDWELL, N.J. - The Caldwell College women's tennis team was blanked by Goldey-Beacom College, 9-0 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference dual Friday afternoon at the Caldwell College Tennis Courts. The result drops the Cougars to 2-11 overall and 1-5 in conference play, while the Lightning improve to 11-2, 5-2 CACC.

The Lightning, who are in third place in the CACC standings, surrendered just seven games in winning all six singles matches in straight sets. The closest doubles match was at No. 2 doubles, where senior Mais Attyeh (Pompton Lakes, NJ/Pompton Lakes), pictured, and sophomore Kirsty Leedham (Ellesmere Port, England/Cheshire Acad.) lost to Daniela Pereira and Anastoshia Lewis, 8-5.

The Cougars complete the 2008 regular season with a home conference match against the University of the Sciences on Saturday, Oct. 11. The dual starts at 12:00 p.m. at the Caldwell College Tennis Courts.
