OAKDALE, N.Y. - The Caldwell College women's tennis team lost a non-conference dual to Dowling College, 9-0 Wednesday afternoon. The loss drops the Cougars to 0-2 on the season, while the Golden Lions improve to 4-3.
Dowling won all singles and doubles matches in straight sets except at No. 1 singles, where Caldwell junior Emilie Skidmore (Pompton Plains, NJ/Pequannock Twp.) lost in a third-set tie-breaker to Cristina Hoffman, 3-6, 6-3, 10-8.
The Cougars return to the courts on Friday, Sept. 14, when they face Goldey-Beacom College in Wilmington, Del.
