CALDWELL, N.J. - The Caldwell College women's tennis team lost to the University of Sciences, 7-2 in its final Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference dual Sunday afternoon at the Caldwell College Tennis Courts. The defeat, which drops the Cougars to 6-7 overall and 2-4 in the conference, moves Caldwell closer to being eliminated from qualifying for CACC Tournament, as the Devils (3-5 overall, 2-3 CACC) can wrap up the fourth spot with a victory over winless Post University.

Caldwell's only points came in singles, where senior Oksana Manoukian (Old Tappan, NJ/Northern Valley Regional) and freshman Brittni Frantellizzi (Binghamton, NY/Susquehanna Valley) won at first and fourth singles, respectively. Earlier in the day, Manoukian won a pair of singles matches to capture the NJAIAW Flight A Singles Championship, held at Drew University.

The dual was much closer than the score would indicate, as the Devils won two three-set matches in singles and won tie-break matches at first and second doubles. The dual also marked the final home competition for seniors Manoukian, Joellen Keaney (Oak Bluffs, MA/Martha's Vineyard Regional) and Danielle O'Connell (South Amboy, NJ/St. John Vianney).

The Cougars end the regular season on Wednesday, Oct. 11 with a non-conference dual at Bloomsburg University, beginning at 3:00 p.m.
