EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. - The Caldwell College women's tennis team lost a close non-conference dual against East Stroudsburg University, 5-4 Monday afternoon at Wolbers Courts. The Cougars are now 4-6 on the season, with the Warriors improving to 1-3.
Caldwell earned one point in the doubles portion of the dual, as sophomore Emilie Skidmore (Pompton Plains, NJ/Pequannock Twp.), pictured, and freshman Jessica Ouderkirk (Syracuse, NY/Westhill) were victorious at No. 3 doubles. In singles, senior Oksana Manoukian (Old Tappan, NJ/Northern Valley Regional), freshman Brittni Frantellizzi (Binghamton, NY/Susquehanna Valley) and sophomore Jacquelynn Ross (Millburn, NJ/Mondeor) won their matches at first, fourth and sixth singles, respectively. The deciding match came at No. 3 singles, where senior Joellen Keaney (Oak Bluffs, MA/Martha's Vineyard Regional) fell to Sarah Deisher in a tie-breaker.
Caldwell hosts St. Thomas Aquinas College on Tuesday, Oct. 3 in a non-conference dual beginning at 4:00 p.m. at the Caldwell College Tennis Courts.
