CALDWELL, N.J. - The Caldwell College women's tennis team suffered another 5-4 loss to a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference opponent, losing to Georgian Court University Tuesday afternoon at the Caldwell College Tennis Courts. The Cougars dropped to 3-6 overall and 1-4 in the CACC, while the Lions clinched the top seed in the CACC Tournament and improved to 5-4 overall and 4-2 in the conference.
The Cougars picked up three wins in singles play, including senior Oksana Manoukian's (Old Tappan, NJ/Northern Valley Reg.) 7-5, 6-2 victory over Dunja Dunda at No. 1 singles. Junior Joellen Keaney (Oak Bluffs, MA/Marthas Vineyard Reg.) and senior Erin O'Neill (River Edge, NJ/Barnstable Academy) also were victorious in straight sets at third and fourth singles, respectively. Manoukian and O'Neill won their match at No. 1 doubles over Dunda and Katie Henriques, 8-3.
