COUGARS' SEASON ENDS WITH LOSS TO GEORGIAN COURT

COLTS NECK, N.J. - The Caldwell College women's tennis team fell to top-seeded Georgian Court, 5-0 at the first Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Team Tournament Saturday evening at the Colts Neck Racquet Club. The loss ended the season for the Cougars, seeded fourth in the tourney, with an overall record of 3-8.

 

The Lions won all five matches that were completed to advance to Sunday's finals against third-seeded USP, which defeated No. 2 Holy Family, 5-1. Georgian Court swept all three doubles matches and picked up wins at second and third singles to clinch the win.

 

Although the Cougars' season is complete, the CACC Individual Tournament will be held in Colts Neck beginning on Friday, Oct. 21. Participants will be announced during the week prior to the tournament.
