The Caldwell College women's tennis team continued its impressive season with a 7-2 win over Georgian Court on Wednesday afternoon at the Caldwell Tennis Courts. The Cougars are now 4-1-1 on the season.
The Cougars won both matches in doubles play. Senior Stacie Zafiris (Palisades Park, NY/Palisades Park) and junior Oksana Manoukian (Old Tappan, NJ/Rutgers) won 8-3 at No. doubles, and sophomore Joellen Keaney (Oak Bluffs, MA/Marthas Vineyard Regional) and junior Erin O'Neill (River Edge, NJ/Barnstable Academy) were victorious at No. 2 doubles, 8-4. Georgian Court Forfeited the match at No. 3 doubles.
In singles, O'Neill beat Mallory D'Amico 6-1, 7-6 at fourth singles, while the Cougars were awarded wins at first and third singles due to injuries, and sixth singles due to a forfeit.
