ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. - Evan Woodhouse scored the game's only goal in the 65th minute as Molloy College defeated Caldwell College 1-0 in a non-conference men's soccer match Monday afternoon. The loss dropped the Cougars to 7-5-2 on the season, while the Lions snapped a four-game losing streak to improve to 2-7-5.
The Cougars held a 9-3 advantage in shots, forcing Molloy goalkeeper Ettore Morelli to make five saves to earn the shutout. Woodhouse's goal, which was assisted by Steve Carpio, was the only shot the Lions put on goal for the game.
The Cougars return to action on Thursday, Oct. 21, when they travel to Bloomsburg, Pa., to face Bloomsburg University at 3:00 p.m.
