Machtemes joined the Caldwell University Athletics Department in March 2022 as the Athletic Compliance and Student Welfare Officer.
Machtemes was a partner at the law firm of Iacullo, Martino, Machtemes & Reinitz in Nutley, New Jersey and practiced law for nearly 20 years before joining the Caldwell athletic staff.
Machtemes graduated from Caldwell with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English in 1998. In 2001, she graduated from New York Law School. Machtemes played for the Caldwell softball team from 1994-98 under current head coach Dean Johnson. She played in 93 games over four seasons, finishing with a .321 batting average, nine triples, four homeruns, 65 RBI, 46 runs scored and 84 hits.
Machtemes continues to be involved with her alma mater, having served on the Caldwell University Alumni Board for several terms and she is a member of the Caldwell Athletic Department Hall of Fame Committee.
