David Erdos begins his second season as head women's tennis coach and first season as the men's tennis coach at Caldwell University. Erdos has 30 years of experience as a tennis instructor and coach.
Erdos coached high school tennis at Solomon Schechter, West Orange and Irvington high schools over a 16-year span. He also was a tennis instructor at the South Mountain YMCA and for the South Orange Recreation Department. A retired teacher, Erdos spent 29 years as a special education teacher at Irvington Public Schools. He currently works at the Jespy House coaching Special Olympics basketball and tennis, and at the South Orange Jewish Community Center implementing special needs recreation programs.
Erdos earned a Bachelor's degree in recreation administration from Kean University, and a Master's degree in counseling, human services and guidance from Montclair State University. A native of South Orange, N.J., he lives in West Orange with his wife, Mimi and their daughter, Christina.
