Kristen Teklits comes to Caldwell from CACC rival Dominican, where she completed her collegiate career while getting her MS in Organizational Leadership & Communication. She played three years at DU after competing at UMBC for two seasons, ranking among the CACC leaders in three pointers (58) while starting all 32 games in 2022-23. She had a career-high 22 points, including seven three pointers, at Goldey Beacom last year, one of eight double-digit efforts on the season. She also poured in 21 points, with five threes, in the Lady Chargers' first-round CACC Tournament triumph over Chestnut Hill en route to her second league championship.
Teklits has assisted at Hoopology, a basketball training center in New Rochelle, N.Y., working with youth and high school players on improving their basketball skills.
A standout scholastic player, Teklits scored 1,411 points at New Fairfield High School, second all-time at the school behind Jennifer Rizzotti.Â
