Joe Giacchi, a 2013 graduate of Caldwell University, begins his sixth year as an assistant women’s basketball coach for the Cougars in 2022-23. Giacchi, has coached at the high school level for three years before returning back to his alma mater last year. He joined the department in the summer of 2019 as the Assistant Athletic Director for Operations.
Giacchi served as an assistant coach for the DePaul Catholic High School boys’ basketball team for three years. Giacchi served as an assistant coach to all three levels of the boys' program. During Giacchi's tenure at DePaul, he has seen players from his program move on to play at the collegiate level.
Giacchi started the Jersey Mavericks AAU club in the summer of 2016, and has coached boys of all ages in his program.
A native of Totowa, N.J., Giacchi resides with his wife Chelsea, also a graduate of Caldwell.
