Jessica Coscia

Jessica Coscia enters her first season as an assistant women’s basketball coach at Caldwell University. Jessica is a familiar face to the university as a Caldwell alum and a former student-athlete.
 
Coscia was known for having a high basketball IQ and a strong work ethic. Coscia was an impactful point guard for the Cougars during her career from 2011-2015. She appeared in 118 games, starting in 95 games. She has the most assists in the modern era (2003-present) of the women's basketball program with 565. Coscia led the conference in assists three out of four seasons. During her senior year, she finished in the top-10 in Division II in assists. Coscia served as the team captain her junior and senior year. Coscia competed on Caldwell's first track and field team in 2012. She was also a part of the Student - Athlete Mentor (SAM) program for incoming student-athletes.
 
Prior to Caldwell, Coscia attended Moore Catholic High School in Staten Island, New York. She was named to the All-Staten Island second team by the New York Post as a senior at Moore Catholic. in her junior year, she was named an Advance All Star by the Staten Island Advance. Coscia served as team captain her junior and senior year. She helped Moore Catholic win three CHSAA Archdiocesan championships.
 
After graduating in 2015, Coscia has been the assistant coach for Susan E. Wagner Boys Varsity basketball team in Staten Island for two years. She worked closely with the guard’s development and the team’s conditioning while also assisting the head coach with scouting plans. During the summer of 2017, Coscia served as head coach in the Linden Summer League at Linden High School in New Jersey.
 
Coscia graduated from Caldwell University with her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Minor in Communications in 2015. She has continued her education at Caldwell working towards a Masters in Counseling with a Specialization in School Counseling. She will be graduating in December 2017.
