Nick Serpico enters his third season in 2025 as track & field assistant coach at Caldwell, where his work specializing in throws has yielded multiple CACC top three finishes in both 2023 and 2024.
Serpico's experience includes a 13-year run as throws coach at his alma mater, nearby Verona HS, where he coached multiple state qualifiers and placers in shot put, discus and javelin. He was also the head and assistant coach at Dwight Morrow HS from 2017 through 2019, mentoring multiple state qualifiers and throwers in all the throws as well as throws coach at Montclair State University from 2019-2022, where he guided the men's and women's javelin NJAC meet champions in 2021.
A 2003 graduate of Montclair State, Serpico was the NJAC champion in the javelin and NJAC Outstanding Male Field Athlete of the Year at MSU in 2003 after earning second-team All-NJAC in the event in both 2001 and 2002. He was also the 1998 N.J. State high school Javelin Champion.
Serpico also serves as assistant sprint football coach at Caldwell, a position he has held since fall of 2022.
He lives in North Arlington, N.J., with his wife Kara. He has a daughter, Cameron, 26, and son, Jaxon, 11.
