David Del Vecchio joins the Cougar baseball staff this season as an assistant coach. He brings over 30 years of coaching experience from Little League to American Legion, most recently serving as an assistant coach at Bloomfield High School for the past four years. In 2006 he coached the Bloomfield 16-year-old team to the Senior League World Series, winning the district, state and region championships along the way.
A native of Newark, N.J., Del Vecchio graduated from Montclair State University in 1974. He is a systems manager for BMW in Woodcliff Lake, N.J. Del Vecchio and his wife, Alberta live in Bloomfield and have three sons: David, Michael and Vinny.
