General: Effective right-handed pitcher who adds depth to the Cougars’ staff. 2010/Junior: Appeared in three games as a pitcher… Fanned three batters in 2.0 innings against Florida Tech 3/15… Also had six at-bats, with one hit and two stolen bases. 2009/Sophomore:  Made seven appearances in relief and one start… Pitched two hitless innings of relief vs. UMass-Lowell 3/16… Struck out four batters in two scoreless innings vs. Post 3/25… Also scored a run and stole a base as a pinch runner. 2008/Freshman: Limited to five innings in five appearances due to injury.  Prior to Caldwell: Received national attention and numerous accolades after pitching back-to-back perfect games during his junior year at Bayside High School… Fanned 11 batters while blanking John Browne High school on Apr. 11, 2006… Tied national record with second straight perfect game against Flushing High School on Apr. 25, 2006, striking out 16… Appeared in Sports Illustrated’s Faces in the Crowd… Named 2007 PSAL Player of the Year… Two-time all-City and all-Queens selection.
