General: Emerged as one of the nation’s top offensive players after one season… Possesses outstanding power. 2007/Freshman: Selected first team all-CACC and the CACC’s Rookie of the Year… Named all-Northeast Region by the American Baseball Coaches Association, Daktronics and the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association… Also chosen the NCBWA Rookie of the Year for the Northeast Region and first team NJCBA all-state… Earned CACC Rookie of the Week honors three times… Batted .365 with 13 home runs, 62 runs batted in, 44 runs and 11 doubles… Led the nation in RBIs per game (1.55), becoming the first Cougar to lead the nation in a statistical category… Had 19 multi-hit games… Went 5-for-6 with four runs and four RBIs vs. Molloy in his first collegiate game 2/23… Belted three home runs in four at-bats vs. USP 4/13… Hit two homers, including a grand slam, and had six RBIs vs. Adelphi 4/20… Smacked three-run homers vs. Lincoln Memorial 3/18 and Felician 4/23… Drove in five runs and had a double and a triple in the first round of the CACC Tournament vs. Dominican 5/10… Was 3-for-4 with three runs in the CACC final against Wilmington 5/12… Named to the CACC all-Tournament team… Had two hits and an RBI in Caldwell’s NCAA Northeast Region win over UMass-Lowell 5/17. Prior to Caldwell: A four year varsity player at J.P. Taravella High School… Named his team’s Defensive Player of the Year in 2005.
