CALDWELL, N.J. -- Sophomore midfielder
Joel Rueda (Harrison, N.J.) banged one in from close range in the 42nd minute but visiting Holy Family University scored two second-half goals to stun Caldwell University, 2-1, in men's soccer action at Caldwell Athletic Field on Friday.
Rueda took a feed from senior midfielder
Frank Lozano (Cali, Colombia), who lifted a cross from the right side, near the goal line, settled, and booted it into the left corner, just inside the post, from about 15 yards away in the 42nd minute to give Caldwell (3-4, 1-1 CACC) the lead heading into the break.
HFU (2-4-1, 1-0) got the equalizer in the 50th minute, then took the lead in the 83rd on a blast by Kevin Castro.
Sophomore
Diogo Da Silva (Newark, N.J.) made five saves for the Cougars.
CU next visits Felician on Tuesday at 1 p.m. in Rutherford, N.J.
