Women's Soccer Blanked in Season Opener at AIC

Amador, Valladeres, Ballesteros Record Two Shots Apiece

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- Caldwell University women's soccer opened the 2026 season with a 2-0 defeat at AIC at Ronald J. Abdow Field on Friday evening. 

Three Cougars registered two shots each: soph Jules Ballesteros (Union, N.J.), senior Yuli Amador (Union, N.J.) and soph Brianna Valladares (No. Plainfield, N.J.).

Soph Arianna Sullivan (New City, N.Y.) went all the way in goal to help keep the Cougars (0-1) in the game.

AIC (1-0) outshot the Cougars, 21-7, in the game.

Caldwell next visits Queens in Flushing, N.Y., on Sunday at noon.
