CALDWELL, N.J. -- Caldwell Athletic Field became the "Garden of Eden" f0r Caldwell University softball on Tuesday as freshman
Eden Ehle slammed a pinch-hit two-run double in the opener, then went one better with a three-run two-bagger in a pinch in the nightcap, propelling the Cougars to a pair of CACC triumphs over Felician, 14-1 and 7-6. Caldwell has now won five straight and 13 of its last 14 and remains unbeaten in CACC play at 8-0.
In Game 1, Caldwell (14-12 overall) busted open the contest with a seven-run third inning that turned a tight 3-1 lead into a 10-1 advantage. Ehle's hit was complemented by RBI by freshman RF

Game two featured a cluster of runs for the Cougars, but it took a little longer. After the Golden Falcons (14-16, 5-3) took a 6-0 lead, aided by three Cougars errors, after four innings. CU edged to within 6-5 in the fifth, Ehle's bases-clearer and RBI hits by freshman 1B

Haleigh Fisher (Smyrna, N.Y.) went the distance, getting out of a two-on, none-out jam in the sixth and setting the Golden Falcons down in order in the seventh to set up the Cougars rally.
Nazionale had five hits and stole five bases in the twinbill and now has 15 thefts in 16 attempts on the season.
Caldwell steps out of league play for a matchup with a solid Mercy University squad on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m.
