PHILADELPHIA -- Senior shortstop
Christian Rinick (Marlton, N.J.) had two hits and senior second baseman
Stephen Young Jr. (Middlesex, N.J.) laced the 38th double of his career to set a new school mark in two-baggers as Caldwell baseball fell, 12-2, at Chestnut Hill in a CACC contest and the final game of the 2026 season. The game was called in the eighth inning by the run rule.
Caldwell (17-25, 14-19 CACC) got its first run in the first when freshman RF
Izaiah Robinson (Franklin Twp., N.J.) walked, stole his 33rd base of the season, and scored on Young's double, which broke a tie with Jorge Torres '09 and Adric Saxon '09 for most in CU history.
The Cougars added another in the fifth, when Rinick's single brought in senior DH
Eli Santiago (Toms River, N.J.), who was hit by a pitch and stole second and third.Â
Senior LF
Jimmy Kurtz (Buena, N.J.), junior CF
Jimmy Turchi (Bridgewater, N.J.) and freshman 3B
Justin Levine (Staten Island, N.Y.) also had hits for the Cougars.
