NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- Senior forward Lucy Coogan (Kilkenny, Ireland) and junior guard Jah'Nel Lewis (Jersey City, N.J.) have been named to the Central Atlantic Athletic Conference (CACC) Women's Basketball All-Conference First and Second Team, respectively, the league announced today.

Coogan will graduate as one of the most decorated players in school history, earning her second straight First Team All-CACC honor after gaining Third-Team status as a sophomore. This year, she was twice named CACC Player of the Week and earned weekly Honor Roll five times. She places third in CACC in scoring (17.4 ppg), first in 3FG made (71), second in 3FG% (39.9%) and second in minutes (35.6). She also leads the CACC and ranks 14th nationally in free throw percentage (88.4). She is also seventh all-time in school history in points (1,651), third in FT&% (81.2) and fourth in blocks (93). 

Lewis, a Second-Team All-CACC selection as a freshman in 2023-24 and First Team pick in 2024-25, is sixth in the league in scoring (15.9 ppg, eighth in assists (3.2), 12th in steals (2.0) and fifth in minutes (34.49). She became the 23rd Cougar to eclipse the 1000 point mark and now ranks 13th in school history with 1452 points. She was named CACC Defensive Player of the Week on Nov. 30 and has six times earned weekly Honor Roll status. She leads the league in free throw attempts with 187.

The Cougars are 21-8 after a third-place finish in the regular season standings and 53-41 victory over sixth-seeded Post in the CACC Tournament Quarterfinals last night at the Newman Center.

They take on #2 Felician on Saturday at 7 p.m. in the CACC Tournament Semfinals at the George R. Newman Center. The winner will play in the Finals on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
