PHILADELPHIA, Pa. -- Sophomore hitter
Marley Rudolph (Hampstead, Md.) had a team-best six kills and senior hitter
Andrea Enabosi (Piscataway, N.J.) pulled a team-high 10 digs as Caldwell University volleyball dropped a 3-0 decision at Chestnut Hill in a CACC matchup on Saturday at Sorgenti Arena.
After spotting the hosts a 6-0 lead in the first set, the Cougars (3-12, 1-6 CACC) eventually battled back to 17-13, kills by freshman MB
Si'ena King (Orlando, Fla.) and Enabosi capping the rally.
Then, after the Griffins (6-11, 3-3 CACC) re-established a seven-point lead at 20-13, Caldwell again stormed back, taking the next six points, five on the serve of sophomore Libero
Olivia Oakley (Hopkinsville, Ky.) and finished off by a kill by sophomore RS
Kaybri Lowry (Davidson, N.C.).
But CHC would score the next three points and go on to the win in the most competitive of the three sets.
Oakley finished with nine digs and an ace, while Rudolph added two aces and five digs. Junior setter
Grace Moliterno (Chester, N.Y.) had eight assist to lead the squad.
Caldwell is right back at it in league play with a matchup vs. Felician on Monday at the George R. Newman Center.
